Gallery “AIDAS” is one of the oldest private galleries in Lithuania. Displaying art from the 1960s to the present day, gallery “AIDAS” focuses on painting with the occasional inclusion of sculpture, printing, ceramics, and conceptual art. The gallery began its journey almost 25 years ago when it hosted an exhibition by Group 24, one of the new art groups that formed after independence from the Soviet Union. Ever since, it has represented Lithuanian artists like Valentinas Antanavičius, one of the country’s most famous assemblage artists. Gallery “AIDAS” is representing a wide range of artists – from artists who have won Winner of Lithuanian National Price for Culture and Arts to young and potential students. Gallery “AIDAS” also champions national talent abroad by arranging international shows.
