Adam Hlobus (real name Uladzimir Vyachaslavavіch Adamchyk) was born in 1958 in Belarus. He graduated from the pedagogical department at Minsk Art School in 1977, and from the art department at the Belarusian Theatre and Art Institute in 1983. He worked as a draftsman, painter and restorer,  graphic designer, and has been the editor of "Krynitsa" since 1987. He is engaged in publishing activities ( "Suchasnyj lіtaratar" publishing house). He is also known as a writer, novelist, essayist and a poet.

Adam‘s artwork plots wander between still life, urban places and academy – figure. Sketchy and minimalist outline as well as delicately chosen colours provide his art with lightness and easiness.
