Henrikas Natalevicius was born in Vilnius in 1953. In 1976 he graduated with a degree in pictorial art from the Lithuanian Art Institute. From 1976 to 1980 and from 1984 to 1988 he worked as an art decorator at the Vilnius Art Exhibition Centre. From 1980 to 1984 he worked as a researcher in the Painting Department at the Lithuanian Art Museum. In 1988 he joined the Lithuanian Artists' Association and in 1989 he became a member of the group „24“.

Henkrikas‘ art is distinguished for its fantasy-inspired visions, irony, multilayeredness, and the application of the "abusive aesthetics" principles. The painter likes to provide things and natural objects with traits of the human body. He is one of the most interesting artists of the 1980s. The author is upholding the expressive possibilities of the stroke, and does not lack wit. His works are characterized by a solid brown - green colour.
